Gus still doesn’t know why he began talking to Lothar. They both talked about home and Gus admitted his involvement in bringing about his homes destruction. It was to save his mother and he even admitted to Lothar that he’d do it again knowing what he knew now. He’d do anything to try and save his family.

They drank and got along decently well despite the fact that Gus is young and clearly stupid.
