He’d only just arrived and didn’t know what was normal for a floating island that kidnapped people. It looked as if Luna had her head in the clouds or as if she had half the conversation in her head where Gus couldn’t contribute.
He doesn’t have a strong opinion about her except that she’s a little strange.
He heard her screaming over the network and came to her side. He didn't know her well but he couldn't just leave her.
